DNA Methylation in Development
Choe Jin

Abstract
DNA methylation is one of the epigenetic mechanisms to regulate gene expression in human body. There are two phases of the development in the view of epigenetics. One is for germ cell development and another is for embryo development. In this review, I will mention about the basic mechanism of methylation and its role in gene expression and the role of methylation in embryonic reprogramming. Methylation of the gene is very critical to embryo development and should be explored further in order to increase the knowledge of development.
